Video #647
Welcome to the ChessCafe.com Video Spotlight. Each Wednesday and Saturday we will feature a chess related video for your entertainment.
The 10th World Champion is often overlooked, particularly in the West, as the guy Fischer beat. But Spassky is far more than that. He was the most “universal” chess player of his generation, able to adapt his strategy and style against each opponent. In this 90 minute lecture, FM Warren Harper will show this style through four illustrative chess games. Lucas Anderson will cover his biography, showing how a boy of five escaped the Siege of Leningrad to become a World Champion hounded by the KGB.
